While we talk about make-up and skincare, we go all things rosy and have heart-filled eyes. Most women love wearing make-up and why not? It gives a sense of satisfaction, boosts our confidence, and not to miss it makes us look prettier so we gaze ourselves in the mirror for hours.
But, have we ever made the effort to make the right choice by researching about the make-up brands before buying?
Getting fascinated by the advertisements, getting inspired by their brand ambassadors, or... because the brands are affordable we buy their products. Is that justified being the responsible citizens of the country?
Well, I don’t think so...
Sometimes we become so selfish and buy products that meet our needs. But don’t think of the cruelty done by the brands on the furries by testing their products. It involves caging them, harassing them, and testing various chemicals on them.
For the longest time, these cruel actions have been being performed, and we as consumers are supporting brands that perform such actions by... purchasing their products.
Lending our support to stop animal cruelty doesn’t suffice by saying any to animal leather... it extends to all the aspects of life including make-up and skincare.
India is one of the few countries that have banned cosmetic testing on animals. But international brands that use animals in the making and testing of products that are available in India.
The world is progressing and gravitating towards better practices and banning animal cruelty is one of those. Various sophisticated ways are being adapted for testing cosmetics that give better results. As consumers, we should look out for cruelty-free logos, bunny logos, and no animal testing logos while making any cosmetic buy. These logos derive the meaning that no furries are in the testing of the product. Going one step further is choosing vegan products that have no ingredients derived from furries in the making of the product.
